Travelling the World

Hello there 👋 I am a full-stack software developer and digital nomad. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to take part in a variety of cool projects across the e-commerce, travel, fintech, web3, and gaming industries. I believe this has shaped a unique expertise that I like to apply and share. Feel free to reach out if you have a project in mind ✌️

As a researcher specializing in web performance, my role involves creating a real-time performance monitoring and alert system. Within this role, I actively seek innovative methods to enhance the performance of our web application. This involves staying abreast of the most current web development trends and conducting experiments with new frameworks and browser functionalities.

Notably, I recently achieved success in incorporating HTTP 103 Early Hints to optimize the loading time of critical page resources. This accomplishment led to improvements in the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) metric and contributed to a more visually satisfying initial load of our website. Additionally, I designed an in-house anti-bot system based on browser fingerprinting techniques. This system bolsters our website's security measures and effectively thwarts unauthorized access attempts.

I took a leading role in the creation of a checkout system that had a profound impact on our user experience. Consequently, our team witnessed a substantial increase in sales within just the first week after its launch. Our clients were particularly enthusiastic about the incorporation of iframes featuring product demos, allowing them to test products before making a purchase decision.

In my capacity at Movavi, I was also responsible for crafting promotional mini-websites, strategically timed to coincide with holidays and other noteworthy occasions. Furthermore, I played a pivotal role in the transition from an outdated server-side rendering (SSR) tech stack centered around PHP to a contemporary alternative powered by Vue.js.

I had an exciting opportunity to try myself as a team lead for the first time. My team was responsible for building promotional mini-websites. Despite the fast-paced environment and occasional shifting of project priorities, we successfully completed multiple projects. Some of our results are available through the links below:

As a part of a small team, I was responsible for developing a product supply management system. Having dozens of partners, we needed help to keep track of supply relations. So, we built a complex UI to visually represent our relations graph and product sources. As a result, we significantly improved the company's managers' productivity and made their lives easier. It was a fantastic opportunity to tune my skills and try myself in a new industry.

I worked with a small group of passionate developers, and our goal was to build an MVP for the next version of the company's educational platform used primarily by the children at the primary school. We successfully finished the project and had an opportunity to get feedback from our beta users, who liked the modern look and the performance of the new platform. Also, we built an integration that allows some of the public schools to use their own SSO-Auth, which significantly improved students since they don't need to go through the unnecessary sign-up process anymore.

I worked in a team of five software engineers. My primary responsibility was developing the backend for a local taxi ordering app. The project had multiple sides, and our backend was represented by more than 10 micro-services that could interact with each other at different stages of the ordering process. As a result, I successfully built an invoicing backend as well as web and mobile frontends for it to work. I also contributed to the development of an informational portal for drivers and the company's support center website. You can learn more about this project at https://www.ixat.taxi/. (as for now, it's down; it seems like the project couldn't survive the competition)
